Architect Director

Affinity Group are growing and we’re looking for colleagues to join us in our journey and help us open our 2nd office, based in Frankfurt. We’re looking for the right candidate to take on the role of Architect Director. Affinity Group is a start-up, founded in April 2022. Roll up your sleeves, as we have BIG AMBITIONS! Our first office is in the center of Amsterdam, with 10 people at present but growing every month. Our next office is opening in Frankfurt, however this is only the beginning: Vienna, Paris, Madrid, Milan are also in the pipeline. The Role of Architect Director
As our new Architect Director you are in direct contact with clients and responsible for finding the right solutions for the projects in the DACH region from our new Frankfurt office. You are accountable for project delivery, reporting to the Management Team at the head office, and to our Architect Director at the head office initially. You will be heavily involved and influential in setting up the new office, establishing Affinity in the region, and leading projects and client relations. Your Main Responsibilities
- You are responsible for Design Development, from sketch design to technical design with local advisors and additional support if required
- You prepare and present designs, specifications, estimated costs, (together with our cost managers) and proposed construction timeline
- You create detailed plans coordinating engineering, electrical, and HVAC plans; present plans to clients for review andapproval
- You prepare tender packs and award construction contracts
- You collaborate with head builder and clients to facilitate the building process to meet clients’ specifications
- You meet and report back to the Amsterdam office
- You work closely with the Project Director
- You identify, through consultation, client requirements, approximate budget, timeline, and the possibility for future projects
- You collaborate with clients to define project strategy and deliverables
- You coordinate and produce feasibility reports
Who are we looking for?
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, a Master’s degree is a plus
- You have a minimum of five years of relevant experience
- You are a registered architect
- You have experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD and Revit or similar
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, are a native or fluent German speaker and are fluent in English
- Ability to translate client ideas into visual and/or tangible references such as drawings, models and presentations
